Luis Ordóñez’s coffee out of Southern Mexico never ceases to delight! Through our importing partners at Osito, we first purchased Luis’s coffee in 2020 and we've continued to do so every year since. Located in the Amatenango de la Frontera municipality of Chiapas, Mexico, Luis cultivates more than a dozen different varieties and is highly focused on quality. This season, we are thrilled to offer a blend of his varieties including garnica and bourbon. Perfect for a slow winter morning, this coffee provides a nutty and citrusy aroma. We find a delicate yet mouth-coating sweetness that tastes like nut brittle and good chocolate. While the cup is light-bodied, it is packed with comforting notes of clementine, cinnamon, and brown sugar. Perfect for espresso (tastes like tres leches cake in a cappuccino!) or drip.
