Tasting notes: Iced Black Tea, Honeysuckle, Lemon Lime
Introducing a single variety selection from our favorite producer group in all of Colombia! La Muralla is an informal group of young producers in one of Huila’s southernmost municipalities, San Agustín. Most partnered producers are in their mid to late 20s and have a strong dedication to producing high-end specialty coffee. The volume we source from the group is the single largest commitment we make each each year. Their blend of Caturra, Castillo, Colombia, and Pink Bourbon is a year-round staple on our menu.
This Gesha community lot represents an opportunity for producers to experiment with new cultivars without the pressure of selling their sometimes quite small harvest by itself. We are so excited to offer a different lot from the group, as it further showcases the dynamic flavor profile of Huila. With classic notes of citrus and florals, this coffee is a great introduction to the Gesha variety. It is distinct, yet tempered. We taste iced black tea, honeysuckle, and lemon lime.
