This is our fourth year purchasing coffee from the AProCafé producer group, and we're excited to continue this partnership for many harvests to come.
In the cup, you'll find a smooth body and a lingering, sweet finish. Notes of soft citrus, brown sugar, and red plum are balanced by a gentle acidity, creating a clean, approachable cup that's equally enjoyable as filter coffee or espresso.

A few harvest seasons ago, we visited the scenic town of San Pedro and met the co-chairs of the AProCafé association, Pedro and Isaías. Together, they work closely with 50 other farmers to produce specialty community lots. During our visit, we had the immense pleasure of having lunch and coffee at Isaías's family home. They also took us to visit the farm of Doña Lucinda Puac Pérez, a farmer whose beautiful organic micro-lot is a staple on our menu every season.
It is with deep sadness that we share that Pedro passed away on May 22nd 2026 in a vehicle accident while transporting coffee.
Pedro played an important role in the Aprocafé community and was a valued partner to those who visited San Pedro La Laguna to learn more about the people and work behind this coffee. His passing is a heartbreaking reminder of the many challenges coffee producers face beyond the farm. Producing exceptional coffee requires not only tremendous skill and dedication, but also navigating difficult roads and the risks involved in transporting coffee from remote mountain communities.
We are honored to share this coffee in Pedro's memory and extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and the entire Aprocafé community. His legacy lives on through the people he supported and the remarkable coffee they continue to produce.
