For the first time ever, we bring you a limited release, SECOND origin of Decaf, imported by our good friends at Osito Coffee. Amatenango de la Frontera is a region mere steps away from the Guatemala border in Southern Mexico. Decaf Amatenango is a Mountain Water Process decaffeinated coffee. It is so incredibly smooth and balanced. Think milk chocolate, florals, and soft citrus. Think pecan brittle and tempered baking spices. Think, wait...is this really decaf? YOU BET!

Just because a fully caffeinated coffee isn’t an option for you doesn’t mean you shouldn’t have options when it comes to the variety of flavor in your coffee. Caffeine isn’t the only thing! We have just two jute bags of this lot so it'll go fast!

From our importer, Osito Coffee:

This coffee has been Mountain Water Processed in México at Descamex. During Mountain Water Processing (which gets its name from the source of the water used: Pico de Orizaba, the highest mountain in México), the coffee is exposed to steam and hot water in a process that extracts the water-soluble caffeine molecules. The water is then run through a carbon filter which captures the caffeine molecules and the filtered (now caffeine-free) water is reintroduced to the coffee to re-infuse it with its own aromatic and flavor compounds. The coffee is then carefully dried.
