Tasters of regional selections from Barranca Grande noticed they cupped a few routinely standout samples, year after year. When they learned those particular lots came from the same estate, they created the Lucita Linda selection - an individual offering from an already excellent coffee-producing community. Lucita Linda ("beautiful light") Estate began as a mere 1/2 hectare of land purchased by Otto Efraín Reina Montes in 1954. He and his son, current owner Eber Reina Enríquez, have increased the farm to 66 hectares, including a natural reserve, and several natural springs.
We can’t remember the last time we drank a coffee this silky. It’s juicy raspberries and cherries melting into milk chocolate mousse. It’s caramel and almond balanced by cranberry and light citrus. It’s round and smooth and clean, and we want it on filter and in a cappuccino and, like, made into sheets to roll around in luxuriously.
