This is our second year featuring Lucinda’s coffee on our menu. Her farm consists of 100% bourbon variety coffee plants which translates to a coffee from her that is oh so sweet! The bourbon variety, known for its sweetness, gives us just that in the form of molasses, red apple acidity and sweet nougat like flavors. Knowing this, our approach with roasting her coffee this year was to highlight a lot of those characteristics while making that sweet aftertaste linger and shine! Lucinda’s coffee is one of those coffees that is, simply put, chuggable. Now, in no way are we recommending that you glug and chug your coffee in the morning, though you may find it hard not to with this one.
It has powerful aromatics of deep sugars and florals that captivate the nose. Upon first sip, you’ll notice the silky and smooth texture of this coffee that makes it so easy to drink. The cup is livened by cooked strawberries and blackberries and tempered by dense caramels and candied nuts that dance, prance and marry perfectly in the cup.
