Another contribution to the coffees from the RISE series program we purchased is Las Cabañas. Similar to El Rincon, the components of these coffees were selected to create sweet, clean and rich profiles while showcasing the potential of producer’s coffees that weren’t high enough quality to be considered a micro-lot but could be fused as a group lot for a truly special blend of coffees. The plant variety selection for this lot is one big indicator for the difference in flavors compared to El Rincon in these RISE selections. Majority of this lot consists of 70% Lempira, a cross between the Timor Hybrid and Caturra (WCR, 2022) and yields cup flavors that will be much more chocolatey - sweet forward and full-bodied. This is that everyday, easy sipper that gives you just the body you are looking for in an espresso, cappuccino, or drip coffee.

Think: Being by the fire with a cup of Swiss Miss hot chocolate in your cup and to your right is a tray of cookies.
