Maria Lunid Ascencio's stunning coffee just took Second Place at the annual Acevedo Cup competition, run by our importing partners at Collaborative Coffee Source. This second-generation producer says, 'I got where I am with discipline, dedication and work. I have obtained my things and I have a wonderful husband who supports me in my daily ventures and I am very committed to the quality of coffee. My pride is to get to be differentiated in the national and international market.'
This is the coffee version of our dream summertime dessert: creamy lemon custard set off by floral ruby red grapefruit. We enjoy a secondary, malic acidity, like fresh pear, white grape juice, and a touch of cranberry. It’s round and silky and finishes with light chocolate, brown sugar, coconut, and sweet hazelnut. We are thrilled to present another Cup winning coffee this year, and are sure you'll join us in celebrating the excellent results of Maria's hard work.
