Out of southern Ethiopia, we bring another fantastic example of the flavor diversity of Ethiopian coffee. Kedir Hassen owns and operates many washing and drying stations in the south and previously, we purchased Buliye, a natural processed lot produced at a drying station that Kedir owns as well. Unlike Buliye, this is a washed processed lot from one of Kedir's many stations in Guji and the quality speaks for itself.
This lot brings an extremely crushable profile to the mix. Gushing with florals on the nose, the aroma brings honeysuckle and bergamot to mind. With its complex structure, this coffee fills the palate with its carnival of flavors. Its crisp acidity dances upon first sip where we are reminded of red fruit and roboois tea when hot. As it cools, the tactile experience become juicier and juicier leaning into some sweet peach tea territory.
